This is a 10-week, immersive internship program to serve, teach, and work alongside preschool – 5th grade children. During your time at St. Peter’s UMC you will work closely with our Children’s Ministry staff learning the ins and outs of everyday ministry. You will meet regularly with your supervisor to reflect on your ministry as a way of growing in self-awareness, ministry competencies, theological understanding and Christian commitment.
The internship begins Sunday, May 19 and spans the 10 weeks to Sunday, July 28. The pay is $3,000. The typical work weeks are Sunday – Thursday and are 40 hours a week with regular time off. During these 10 weeks, interns will be expected to participate in and even help facilitate weekly ministry events, day camps, and special events. The Children’s Ministry staff will instruct you on your roles and how you will participate in events.

June 24-27: Vacation Bible School (Kingsland Campus)
July 15-18: Sunny Days Camp
