The Good Shepherd Mission (GSM) is a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization that provides temporary basic needs to help individuals and families overcome difficult circumstances. We are a faith-based ministry that is invested in empowering people to become resilient, independent, and live in harmony with others. Although we are a faith-based ministry, we serve people from all walks of life without discrimination.

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, church relations, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders to develop and lead the implementation of fundraising and development strategies that align with the GSM’s mission and goals, including an emphasis on securing major gifts, grants, church support, and individual donations.
Manage the day-to-day operation of programs, working with staff and volunteers to ensure that programs are executed with excellence and create the most impact for the mission of the GSM.
Act as a servant leader to the organization’s staff by providing guidance, motivation, and support to help them succeed in their roles in a positive work environment.
Oversee the maintenance of official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Establish and enforce administrative and employment policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the Good Shepherd Mission.
Serve as the GSM spokesperson by being actively engaged with civic and community activities and maintain working relations with local churches, community groups, and organizations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, nonprofit management, social work, etc) or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management, organizational leadership, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in fundraising and development.
Experience in organizational management with the ability to manage staff and volunteers.
Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
