About Jurisdictional Conference

The quadrennial meeting of clergy and lay delegates from the annual conferences within the boundaries of one of five U.S. jurisdictions: North Central, Northeastern, South Central, Southeastern and Western. Jurisdictional Conferences convene every four years. The business includes the election and assignment of bishops.

As we approach the upcoming Annual Conference session, we wanted to share an opportunity with laity across the Texas Annual Conference. During Annual Conference 2024, June 9-12, we will elect 9 Lay Delegates to the 2024 Jurisdictional Conference. Being a Lay Delegate is not just a position; it's a calling to actively shape the future of our beloved UMC. It's about representing your church and contributing to the broader mission of the United Methodist Church.
