Marianela Morales embodies the spirit of service and compassion in her multifaceted role as a Senior Group Health Benefits Specialist, HIPAA Privacy Officer, and Wellness Program Coordinator. Since joining the team in 2019, her journey has been one of growth, dedication, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Over time, Morales’ roles have evolved as she has assumed more responsibilities. She helps churches and group health participants alike as she answers inquiries about clergy compensation, insurance, and eligibility. More than administrative; she cares about ensuring that every participant receives the support they need.

One of Morales’s key responsibilities is to facilitate understanding by participants of the complex world of insurance. And since she is fluent in Spanish, she is able to offer guidance to Spanish speakers in their native language.

Morales also works to uphold privacy regulations and ensure compliance with vendors in addition to working with our comptroller to approve and coordinate financial transactions and vendor payments.

Morales’s passion for wellness extends beyond her professional duties. She is working to promote health and well-being among participants through various channels, and is currently looking into new programs that go beyond weight loss to focus on other areas such as mental health.

Outside of work, Morales spends time with her three children and is deeply involved in her community and church. As a worship coordinator for the Spanish language service at Clear Lake UMC, she shares her musical talents to create meaningful experiences for congregants. And her role as a clergy spouse adds another dimension to her volunteer work there.

Marianela not only provides valuable support and guidance but also creates a sense of community and belonging for all those she serves.
