Dear friends,

I greet you with love and gratitude in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I wanted to take a moment to remind you, although you probably don’t need reminding, that General Conference is right around the corner. I will be travelling to Charlotte, North Carolina through the first week in May.

This gathering, which brings together United Methodists from around the world, is a time for us to discern and make decisions that will shape the future of our denomination.

So I invite you to join me in praying for our delegation as they represent us and focus on the important matters facing all of us.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them as they navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.

While I am away, I will continue to hold you in my prayers. I look forward to updating you daily while I am in Charlotte.

There is still much yet unknown, but one thing is certain, God is with us and we as the Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church will continue to ReVive. ReNew. ReInvigorate and ReImagine a future filled with hope where churches, clergy, and laity flourish in the goodness of God.

Together, let us remain steadfast in our faith, knowing that God is always with us.
