The Director of Communications provides visionary leadership to a team of communicators who collaboratively convey the Texas Annual Conference (TAC) faith story through media practices, so that local churches are empowered and equipped to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The Director will lead the TAC's initiatives to build effective channels of communication both internally and externally. The Director will develop and use all appropriate technologies, media and formats to further the TAC's vision and mission.

The successful candidate will have at least ten years experience in marketing communications, journalism or public relations. Proven experience in end-to-end execution of effective communication programs is required. Strong leadership of staff and function will be essential to success in this position.

A 1200 member, dynamic and growing congregation in Livingston Texas, near Lake Livingston is seeking a Director of Music, Worship and Fine Arts. Responsibilities will include oversight and direction of a 50 member adult choir which sings for the weekly traditional service, 2 handbell choirs involving 30+ ringers, leadership of the Praise Team at the Contemporary Worship service and leading music for the Emergent Worship. Oversight would also include supervision of the children’s choir program, staff organist/pianist, and an Associate Director of Music. Minimum educational experience should include a Masters Degree in Sacred Music or the equivalent, experience directing a sacred music program, conducting expertise including orchestral groups, and the ability to accompany, when needed, at the piano or organ.
