The Group Health and Pension Benefits Manager works in a positive and respectful office environment in Houston’s Museum District with approximately 18 colleagues and coworkers. The office serves as the Office of the Bishop of the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, the administrative and spiritual leader for all United Methodist churches and clergy in Southeast Texas.

The Group Health and Pension Benefits Manager works under the direction of the Financial Controller and CCR Center Director, supervises the Group Health Benefits Specialist and Pensions and Retiree Health Benefits Specialist, and works in collaboration with other CCR and TAC staff. In addition, the Benefits Manager works in collaboration with the Alera Benefits Consulting Group, the Group Health Benefits Committee and Board of Pensions, and outside vendors providing various benefit programs.

The Benefits Manager administers the Group Health, Retirement, and Disability programs for both active and retired participants of the TAC benefit plans. Group Health collections total approximately $5.2 million for a 340-member employee group (850 participants) and Pension collections total approximately $3.8 million annually.
