UMW Intercept Human Trafficking Awareness Event Jan. 28

Date Posted: 1/17/2017

Texas Conference United Methodist Women are hosting an Intercept Human Trafficking Awareness Event Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Sherman Elementary, 1909 McKee Street Houston, Texas 77009 from 10am-1:00pm.

Immediately following the event, we will march to Wesley Community Center for our Box ‘Em Up and Stack ‘Em Up Campaign.

As we welcome the Super Bowl to Houston, join us, along with Ms. Susie Johnson, from the UMW Washington Office on Public Policy, and Ms. Yvette Richards, former UMW National President, for an awesome day of awareness and action!

We will hear from our partners in government (local and state level), community, and church on ways to prevent trafficking, how to identify and protect trafficked persons and what can be done to aid in the prosecution of these criminals! Come see how you can Intercept Human Trafficking!
