The 37th Annual Conference of the Professional Administrators of The United Methodist Connectional Structure (PAUMCS) was held on the Atlantic Ocean aboard the Independence of the Seas cruise ship. The National PAUMCS Executive Team along with Mark Yeh of Educational Opportunity Tours (EO) served as the conference host.
Those attending the conference worshipped, learned, and networked with other church professionals from across the denomination. We began each morning in session together hearing from Mike & Carolyn Slaughter and their administrative assistant, Catherine Crowell from Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, Tipp City, Ohio. Following the morning sessions we met in focus groups to discuss what we heard during the sessions and how we can apply them to our day to day ministry. On Sunday evening we had the opportunity to celebrate those who completed the 2018 on-line certification class and those who completed the Advance Certification class. We were blessed to hear from William Amperse, a member of the 2018 on-line certification class.
The mission focus was the Ciudad de Angeles home. We were a part of sharing Christ's love with orphaned children in Mexico during the visit to the Ciudad de Angeles home. The mission provides a home for orphaned children in an environment of love and develops them into godly adults who are responsible citizens in their community.
PAUMCS is excited to announce next year's annual conference, Keep Our Eyes Focused on Christ, in Kansas City, Missouri, April 16-18, 20/20. Exciting plans are underway so mark your calendar and plan to attend. More information will be available in early fall, 2019.
Established in 1982 under the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) of The United Methodist Church, the organization fosters individual growth, professional development, and spiritual enrichment for members from around the world.
