TAC Launches New Website

Date Posted: 1/23/2014

Come visit our fresh site at txcumc.org. Our new site launch celebrates the completion of a year-long project focused on better communicating who we are and how our congregations are making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world to the glory of God.
The new site features a clean layout, a more intuitive taxonomy and responsive design, allowing for consistency across desktop and mobile platforms.
This was a collective effort that involved clergy, lay leaders and staff members reviewing the thousands of pages and documents that had accumulated over time. “Our new site will always be a work in progress, but certainly has a simplified navigation system and home page to help our site visitors find what they need quickly and easily,” says Communication Director Paula Arnold. “We will be focusing on telling our story visually, and we welcome feedback along the way.”
Other Ways to Connect
Digital Content Manager Brant Mills is excited about the new site and apps that will help visitors get the information they need more efficiently. “We will soon be launching IOS and Android apps that will enable us to engage audiences in new ways. The new site is optimized for mobile use - but the apps will allow users a new way to connect with us on the go.”
Help Us Better Represent You
The Communications office is seeking high quality photos from churches and individuals across the conference willing to give permission to post them to the site to illustrate United Methodists doing kingdom work. Whether these depict people serving their local communities, engaging in mission, focused on worship, clergy leading worship or serving communion – we are looking for imagery showcasing the diversity of our conference and where we go to connect with others and share the beauty of God.
