Ministry Leaders Offer Thanks for Your Support

Eric Cummings with Somebody Cares America and Kirk Pankratz, Senior Pastor of Church of the Harvest in Oklahoma City, offer thanks to the Texas Annual Conference for use of a 4-stall shower trailer based at their East Side campus where they are housing volunteers during recovery efforts in the Moore area following tornado devastation.

“We only have 2 showers in our facility – if you’re trying to house up to 200-250 volunteers that’s not going to work.” Pankratz said. “We’ve had the opportunity and blessing to use this for some time to come. We would have had to invest thousands of dollars and taken a couple of months to do this from scratch – but this met an immediate need and you guys have been able to meet all of those hard to deal with needs that we face and resource us and its incredible… I want to say a thank you to the United Methodist Church organization for your generosity and sharing, and reaching across boundaries in the body of Christ. Together we’re going to continue to make a difference.”

Cummings added: “Thank you so much for your continued support with Somebody Cares America through donations and in- kind donations and stuff like this that we can continue to help out everybody. There’s so much need still and will be for some time to come.”
