Learn About Human Trafficking

Conference churches are making an impact by hosting events to raise awareness and mobilize efforts to reduce human trafficking injustices in our own communities.


August 25: Dennis Mark from Redeemed Ministries will give attendees an inside look at this issue at First UMC in Caldwell from 10-noon. Lunch and the event are free for those that pre-register and bring a $5 gift card for McDonald’s, Sonic, Starbucks or Chick-fil-A which Redeemed Ministries will use to help women trapped in this lifestyle. September 13: As a part of September’s “Just Cause” month, John Wesley UMC will join with other churches to host a “Just Learn” Panel Discussion.  Panel guests are Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman, Dennis Mark of Redeemed Ministries and Rodney Daniel of Home of Hope.  Attendees will learn about human trafficking activities, what is being done to fight it, and what individuals can do to help.  Attend from 7-8:30pm at 5830 Bermuda Dunes, Houston (77069).
