Summer Interns Bless the Conference

Date Posted: 8/8/2013

In the Spring of 2013, 13 college students made a decision to further explore their call to ministry. For that exploration to occur, time, space, and intentional pastoral and congregational support were provided via invitation into the following congregations: See List

“We had the joyful opportunity to be recipients of several of the interns’ gifted and passionate preaching this summer at chapel,” says TAC staff member Barbara Eoff. The 2013 College Pastoral Intern Project ended with a time of coming together in worship and reflection followed by fun and fellowship.  “The closing worship, held on a jetty in the waters of Galveston Island’s Gulf of Mexico, was a metaphor for the love of Christ and His call on our lives to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world,” says Michelle Hall, Associate Director of TAC Center for Clergy Excellence.  “While worshiping, along came a group of youth with fishing poles in hand…..Matthew 4:19 And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. WOW God!”
