Justice for our Neighbors Webcast

Date Posted: 8/10/2011

Wednesday, August 10th, throughout the day, go to 10-fold.org/live to hear about UMCOR's Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) program and how 13 annual conferences operating through 28 church-based clinics are making a difference in their communities and changing people's lives.

The system immigrants need to navigate is often very confusing and dispiriting. Volunteers from United Methodist churches across the country through JFON are working with their immigrant neighbors and helping them feel accepted and welcomed.

From reuniting families after years of separation to helping immigrant communities better understand their rights, this grassroots UMC effort has a profound effect on the immigrants, the volunteers who are working with them, and the entire community.

There will be a live chat at 12 noon ET (11 Central) so you can ask questions or chat all day with others who are interested in this project.

Justice For Our Neighbors is sponsored by the General Board of Global Ministries and supported by dollars raised through The Advance.

And don't forget, while visiting 10-Fold.org, with one simple click, you can become an advocate and automatically raise $1.00 to support this project. Mission never stops. Be counted when you visit.

On the 10th of each month, 10-Fold.org will feature a different Advance Project, and we will hear from people closely involved who will report on the progress that is being made around the world. Check back regularly to learn more.
