The Texas Conference Choir Clinic
The Texas Conference Choir Clinic for 2011 will be held June 13-17th at the newly renovated
This year is the 60th anniversary of the choir clinic and the theme for the week is “Seasons To Celebrate.”
Under the leadership of Worship Designer, Marcia McFee, attendees will lift up three of the Church’s most ancient celebrations: Epiphany (including birth of Jesus and Baptism), Easter (the Easter Triduum, including Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil) and Pentecost, as well as a special World Communion Service and special candlelit service at the Tabernacle.
Attendees of all ages will experience a large variety of quality camp activities especially designed for them, beginning with campers 5 years old and up through adults. This multi-generational camp offers a unique setting to experience the joy of music and worship, mixed with lots of fun.
There are opportunities for experiences with choir, handbells, dance, creative worship, reading sessions, instruments, with classes in guitar, organ, as well as a variety of extra classes, an all-camp variety show and more!
New this year:
Thursday will be Clergy Focus Day with special worship-planning emphasis. Also, there will be an additiona of All State Choir Workshops (optional sessions for High School students.)
