Wanted: Clergy and Laity to be Trained as VCI Leaders in November

Rev. Sue Nilson Kibbey, the guest speaker at this year’s annual conference, said, “We are the leaders we have been waiting for.” The Center of Congregational Excellence invites our clergy and laity who are interested in learning how to be a leader for a Vibrant Church Initiative “Consultation Weekend,” to participate in the November 5-6, 2014 training opportunity. 
VCI Leaders receive a stipend for their time and will be trained to help other churches go from “good to great.” To find a description of leadership roles revisit the previous article from January 2014

Vibrant Church Initiative - Consultation Weekend Training
When: November 5 & 6, 2014
Where: Lufkin UMC, 805 E Denman Ave, Lufkin, TX 75901
Time: 9a.m.-4p.m each day
Who:  Clergy & Laity interested in serving on a VCI Consultation Weekend Team in a leadership capacity.  This training will encompass in detail the various tasks of a consultation weekend as well as the leadership roles: Lead Consultant, Directive Coach & Scribe, of a consultation team.
