Registration is open for 2014 Collide – the Youth Version of Annual Conference
Great music, great leadership training and great fun will make Collide 2014 a don’t-miss experience for conference youth this May. Special guests include two of the nation’s most effective youth ministry leaders. Register soon!
The theme for COLLIDE 2014 is "SOWN" and all should register SOON-- by April 23! For a mere $65, Texas Annual Conference youth will enjoy fellowship, worship and learning together in fabulous downtown Houston at the Hilton Americas. SOWN participants will have overnight accommodations in local host churches. "The design team has been working, dreaming and praying about this year’s Collide experience," says TAC Youth and Young Adult Ministry Director Thera Freeman. "We are excited, and hope you are, too! There have been a few changes to the structure of this year’s gathering, however, mission is still a strong component." Student worship will be led by the St. Luke's Gethsemane campus band :MESTIZO, which means mixture.
There are four break out workshop options for this year. They are: Worship, Beloved Community, Discipleship as Vocation, and Mission. Each participant will be asked to rank them 1-4 with 1 as most desired and 4 as least desired. There will only be one break out session on Sunday afternoon as the remainder of the workshop times will be spent together as a large group.
Individual registration information is on the website http://www.youthcollide.com for students and adults. Once youth leaders have collected all participants' paper registration forms, they can register and pay, in full, online. Then mail the registration forms, media and liability releases to Debbie Sutton postmarked no later than April 23, 2014. The cost per person is $65. There is no group registration this year.
Each participant needs to complete an Adult/Student form. Attention leaders: as the Collide church contact person, it is your responsibility to ensure all forms are properly completed. Remember you will need to meet the 5:1 youth to adult ratio. Be sure that all forms are signed by the participant and/or guardian, and signed by the Senior Pastor. Also, note that all adults need to have a criminal background check performed in 2014 and have completed Safe Sanctuary training. Leaders will need to complete the Group Roster and return ALL paperwork to: Texas Annual Conference, Attn: Debbie Sutton, 5215 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002
