Conference Youngsters Enjoyed Kid-Friendly Activities

Conference kids enjoyed many opportunities to grow in lay leadership through TAC Conference Childcare 2015.

During their stay at the 2015 Conference, children from ages 6-12 lead a mission project for the homeless and working poor at the Emergency Aid Coalition Houston, and enjoyed a field trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science—among many other things. Younger children experienced lay leadership in a whole new way when Jennifer Howard, aka “Plum Cute” of Cokesbury UMC, shared the love of Jesus through her clown ministry.
The Nature Discovery Center returned with their animal surprises so that kids of all ages could cuddle, love, and learn about God’s furriest creatures.  An encore to last year’s success, children lead one another in reenacting their favorite Bible stories for the audience of childcare workers. “It was a fun-filled week of sharing God’s love with the always inspiring TAC kids!” says childcare coordinator Jenna Arnold, and administrative assistant with the Texas Conference Center for Clergy Excellence.
