UMM Quarter Campaign Nets $3,600 for Mission

When 24 men agreed to save a quarter a day, persons who need Bibles, earthquake victims in Haiti and hungry people in America received gifts totaling $3,600. In March, 2010, Wayne Custer, president of the Northeastern Jurisdiction of United Methodist Men, challenged conference presidents to put a quarter a day away for the next 365 days. New Rule for Schools: More Clergy, More Funds

United Methodist schools of theology that educate more students for ordained ministry in the denomination will get more church funding in 2012 under a new formula for distributing money from the Ministerial Education Fund. Japanese Christians Begin Relief Work

The United Church of Christ in Japan has established a disaster relief center in the Tohoku District in northern Japan, which was severely affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. The Rev.
