Upcoming webinars with Bishop Jones, Facebook executive and Dr. Thom Rainer
Scott Jones and a roster of other distinguished speakers will cover a variety of topics in our next round of webinars, ranging from the organization of the United Methodist Church to social media discipleship to the future of the post-pandemic church.
Connected to Christ, Connected to Others with Bishop Scott Jones
Each Friday in February, Bishop Scott Jones will host a webinar exploring the inner workings of the United Methodist Church and answering questions about organizational structures.
“How do we follow Jesus? How do we stay connected like he asked us to? We do that by being part of His church,” Jones explained.
Topics will include bishops and apportionments, United Methodist beliefs about social issues and the itinerate system. Why do United Methodists talk so much about money? Why are we a worldwide Church?
Bishop Jones will delve into a number of topics that will appeal to pastors and leaders in the United Methodist Church. “Do you still have questions? Well, we have answers,” Jones said.
