Bishop Scott J. Jones announced new appointments for the end of the year. On December 1, 2019, he appointed the Rev. Peter Miller as the Interim Disaster Preparedness Coordinator. Miller previously served as the Senior Pastor at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas. Beginning January 1^st, Rev. Scott Moore, who served in the position of Director of Center of Missional Excellence will be appointed as the Ministry Consultant for VisionBridge in The Woodlands, Texas in extension ministry.

The Center for Missional Excellence will continue serving the Texas Annual Conference in disaster preparedness, training and other mission related activities.
