Lately, there has been a lot of talk about leaving the United Methodist Church.

While most of our churches are choosing to stay United Methodist, there is a group of churches, some in the Texas Annual Conference, who are choosing to leave. There are those within the churches that are leaving who have a desire to remain a part of the United Methodist denomination.

Pray for one another

As this happens, let’s commit to pray for one another as we say goodbye to churches that are leaving. As churches transition into new denominations, let’s pray for ministries to flourish and reach new people for Jesus Christ.

Let’s pray for our pastors and members of those churches that choose to remain in the United Methodist Church.   Let’s commit to pray that their ministries would flourish and grow.

Let’s remember that we serve a mighty God who is our rock, our fortress and our deliverer.

As churches leave, new ones will be started.

Let’s pray and believe this will be a time of revitalization and revival.

Churches will continue making new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world across the Texas Annual Conference and beyond.
