Hope United Methodist Church

Led by Rev. Ernie Turney Hope United Methodist Church already has a core foundation of church leaders and is working to transform lives in their small community.

United Methodist Church of the Pines

Rev. Dr. Jerry Neff is breathing new life into this church and the community.  After a double lung transplant Jerry literally feels a new sense of life and calling, vowing to use his new lungs to help grow the Kingdom. He travels from Galveston to the Pines every week to lead and grow this new congregation.

Waters Edge UMC

Rev. Ryan Trushenski is the pastor of this new church as of July 2023. He joins a team shaped by Tommi Hamilton as a lay church planter. Together they are welcoming people to share the love of God and impact the community in Conroe, Texas.

St. Matthew United Methodist Church

A picturesque chapel standing on the grounds of Teaberry Farm in Jacksonville, Texas, has become a temporary home for a group of United Methodists in need of a refuge. Rev. Bonnie Osteen leads the organic Sunday gatherings with rotating preachers and musicians.

Houston Hobby

This new faith community in the Houston Hobby area began June 2023 with people from disaffiliated churches and the congregation of Glenbrook UMC where they meet for worship on Sundays. Rev David Briggs leads the congregation as they nurture disciples of Jesus and create community partnerships to bring life to the neighborhood.

Redwater UMC

Launched in July 2023, the United Methodists of Redwater refurbished a closed church and started meeting for weekly worship. They are also opening a United Methodist Children’s Center with the guidance of their pastor Rev. Brant Graham and Rev. Jill Daniels’, Director of We Love All God’s Children.

Community UMC

Launched in June 2023, this group meets at a Presbyterian church in Longview for weekly worship. Retired elder Rev. Ed Blackstone leads a preaching rotation and is guiding the community in their discernment of the next faithful step.
