The call to Show Unusual Kindness (Acts 28:2) to the vulnerable, the stranger, the stranded is common to Christian around the world. It is the Gospel's call to extend the love of Christ to our neighbor in need. On January 23, 15 7 pm, churches from all over Houston and the International Seafarers Center Houston will come together at Christ the King Lutheran Church to pray, sing and hear the Word together.

The worship theme and order for this year's Week of Prayer for Christian Unity was prepared by the churches on the island of Malta where they hold the Apostle Paul in high regard as he landed there shipwrecked on his way to Rome. Again, in recent years, the islands and coastal nations of the Mediterranean have rescued and welcomed refugees in response to the Gospel of Christ's love calling out to them.

Join us for the service and refreshments at 7 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2353 Rice Blvd, Houston, 77005.  Parking at the church or at the Rice Stadium lots ($3 with credit card).
