Disaster Recovery

Disaster Response Updates:

September 18, 2018
When Hurricane Harvey hit, our neighbors in North Carolina, Western North Carolina and the South Carolina Conferences were very generous! Let’s show them some Texas love United Methodists! Thanks again for your prayers. We will let you know when they are ready for volunteers. In the meantime, let’s give generously.

P.S. These conferences are NOT ready for volunteers, and do not need physical supplies, this will only make the situation worse right now. If you want to help, please give or pray.

It’s important to prepare for possible disasters and other emergencies. Natural and human caused disasters can strike suddenly, at any time and anywhere. There are three actions everyone can take that can help make a difference: See resource: Be Red Cross Ready.

The Mission Center is the warehouse and “command central” for all things related to recovery in The Texas Annual Conference. Ministries in this area fall under The Center for Missional Excellence
