Rev. Tom Teekell

Originally from Bossier City, LA, Tom Teekell received his BBA in Business Analysis from Texas A&M University and his MDiv from Brite Divinity School. Tom served a two-point charge in seminary (1992-1996), served Kilgore College Wesley Foundation as its first full-time campus minister (1996-1998), served as the campus minister at SFA in Nacogdoches for 21 years (1998-2019), and now continues to serve SFA Wesley as the Executive Director (2019-present).  He received the Texas Conference Eric Anderson Evangelism Award in 2006 for his work in campus ministry. Tom has served on multiple boards and task forces as a clergy including CF&A, the Conference Board of Trustees, and The Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry.

As a Ministry Specialist for College Campus Ministries, Tom has over 25 years of professional experience as a college pastor, not including his time as a student at the TAMU Wesley Foundation.  Tom has led spiritual retreats for other Wesley Foundations, fundraising seminars in other conferences, mentored other campus ministers, and guided hundreds of college students in their faith journeys.  He can help with practical ideas about programming, fundraising, strategic planning, budgeting, and administration.

Rev. Amy Walker

Amy was born and raised in SE Texas. Amy holds a Masters degree in Deaf Education and is an Ordained Deacon in the S.E. District.  Her service includes 18.5 years of ministry to Youth, families, Missions, and outreach as well as college ministry. This was prior to her being appointed to the Wesley Foundation-Lamar University campus in 2016.

With this history, Amy is very qualified to serve the church in other capacities such as the College Campus Ministries. She does an excellent job of finding innovative ways to connect with college age students, regardless of their background or beliefs.  She has demonstrated the ability to accomplish this without interfering with their local church and on a very limited budget.
