Praise and Worship Leader - Williams Memorial, Texarkana

Williams Memorial is a church in Texarkana, Texas, that worships on average 460 (pre-pandemic) per week. We are looking for a praise and worship leader for our Contemporary Worship service called The Summit. This position can be either Full-time or Part-Time, depending on the applicant. - Essential Functions:
- Recruit and develop musicians for contemporary worship
- Organize and lead weekly practices as well as Sunday morning rehearsal
- Create setlist of songs for each Sunday morning based on the themes of that week’s sermon as well as the sermon series as a whole, and continually seek to enhance repertoire with new and varying styles of music
- Coordinate the scheduling of musicians each week and prepare and provide sheet music in advance
- Lead the congregation verbally through greeting, prayers, and transitions
- Other Responsibilities
- Work with pastor to design order of worship for special Sundays
- Participate in weekly modern worship team meetings to create an effective worship environment through the integration of sermon series themes, music selection, lighting presets, stage design, and room decór
- Maintain and manage musical equipment needs
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications and Abilities
- Commitment to leading a Christian life and serving as a Christian role model
- Demonstrate musical gifting and knowledge of modern worship
- Skilled in organization and administration
- Verbal Communication skills with the ability to engage congregation in worship
- Experience with or willingness to learn Planning Center
