Operations Director
St. Stephen’s UMC, Houston TX

Part-time work (approximately 20 hours a week) salary commensurate with experience.
St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Houston Texas is looking for an organized and experienced Operations Director.


St. Stephen’s mission statement is “To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world,” and the work of the Operations Director shall support this mission.

Responsibilities:

Financial:
Perform and coordinate bookkeeping, data entry, reconciliations, and financial record keeping. Provide timely and accurate reports to church leadership. Process payroll. Prepare and send invoices. Pay bills timely. Manage communications with donors. Maintain accounting files. Work with financial volunteers to ensure best practices followed.

Facility:
Manage and coordinate with vendors and volunteers to maintain all facilities. Schedule and coordinate necessary inspections with requisite agencies and vendors. Maintain operations files. Coordinate building access and use schedule with members and outside groups.

Competencies:
Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, and online software for payroll and church database management. Communications skills with a wide variety of people crucial.
