Ambassador's Endowment
The Ambassadors’ Endowment was created to encourage young people to consider ministry by reimbursing out of pocket seminary tuition, fees, and book costs incurred by promising young clergy entering the Texas Annual Conference. Grant funds awarded are distributed over a five-year period to recipients who continue to serve the Texas Annual Conference as full-time clergypersons in good standing.
You are eligible to apply if you:
- Were or will be Commissioned as a provisional deacon or elder at age 33 or younger
- Serving full-time in the Texas Annual Conference or expect to be by June.
- Completing seminary this semester or if you have already completed seminary
- Not yet ordained as a full membership deacon or elder in the United Methodist Church
Applications for further grants are currently suspended. All previously-made grants will continue to be distributed in August, but new applicants are encouraged to check back at this website for an updated timeline for new grants. If you are being ordained in 2013 and were hoping to apply before your ordination, the committee will honor your current eligibility during its next granting cycle. Thank you for your understanding. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Rev. Taylor Meador Fuerst at tfuerst@txcumc.org
