Texas Conference: Giving to Help Others
In August, Bishop Huie asked the Texas Annual Conference to step up and offer help to our brothers and sisters in Louisiana, thousands of whom were displaced and distressed as a result of wide-spread flooding. At that time, she laid out a goal to raise $150,000.
Because of your enormous generosity, we have already raised $95,228 to date. The cameras and fleeting media attention have moved on from covering the disaster, but people are still in need of your help.
If you would like to learn more, this appeal is further explained in a message from Rev. Scott Moore, Director of the Mission Center in Conroe: TAC Disaster Response: Louisiana Floods
If you would like to give to help, you may make a donation to the UMCOR Domestic Disaster Response Advance #901670.
