Bishop Huie's Appeal for Flood Victims in Louisiana
The devastating floods in Louisiana have taken a tremendous toll on our neighbors. I have been in contact with Bishop Harvey who indicated this was of a Katrina-level disaster for Louisiana. The Texas Annual Conference is not a stranger to these needs. We have been recipients of compassionate grace when we’ve suffered nature’s ravages, but we too have stepped up when our brothers and sisters in Christ were hurting.
Today I ask for your prayers for those in harm’s way and encourage your generosity in responding to the UMCOR Domestic Disaster Response Advance #901670. This appeal is further explained in a message from Rev. Scott Moore, Director of the Mission Center in Conroe: TAC Disaster Response: Louisiana Floods
Grace and Peace,
Bishop Janice Riggle Huie
