Be a Part of the Living Timeline

10/10/2013

Women across the nation can submit written or artistic submissions to the new We Make It Happen: A Living Timeline launched by UMW  via Facebook and Pinterest. This project asks women to tell the stories of United Methodist Women members who have inspired them: their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters, nieces, goddaughters and friends.

This “Living Timeline” will be unveiled at the United Methodist Women 2014 Assembly, held in April 2014, in Louisville, Ky. This project taps into the spirit of sisterhood to find out how members bring about change in their communities and around the world. It poses the question: How does the United Methodist Women member in your life inspire you? How is she an inspiration to others? What does she do to show unwavering support of women, children and youth?

We Make It Happen: A Living Timeline  - The beautiful pieces of art, video, music and written expression received thus far can be viewed on United Methodist Women’s Pinterest page. Now thru February 7, 2014, submit the story of a United Methodist Women member who does all she can to Make It Happen! To learn how to submit a story of a United Methodist Women member, visit the submission page.
