Unique Marriage Enrichment Course for your Valentine

Date Posted: 1/22/2015

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Houston, will offer a marriage enrichment program entitled Love & Respect.  The five-session program for married couples will feature five “Date Nights” on Sunday evenings, February 8 – March 8 from 5:30 – 7:30p.m. at Chapelwood UMC.

The Love & Respect series is designed to help couples strengthen their marital relationship. Each session will include a romantic dinner served at a private table for two, an enlightening message on DVD by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, and built-in breaks for one-on-one program discussion. The book Love & Respect was awarded Book of the Year in 2007 and focuses on best communications tools and practices for immediate application in the marriage relationship. Husbands and wives will learn to better understand their partner, what is important to them and the best form of delivery in communication resulting in improved understanding, empathy and respect.

The course is designed for any married couple that wants to work together to invest in their relationship regardless if they have been married for less than a year or more than 30. Strong marriages as well as marriages experiencing challenges will benefit from these practical tools to help couples work through daily life and difficult issues.

The cost for the course is $175 per couple and includes all materials and five dinners. Childcare is available for children three months through Kindergarten. To reserve
childcare, e-mail nursery@chapelwood.org by January 30 with your child/children’s name(s) and birthdate(s) and the dates you need childcare.
