Rev. Rudy Rasmus and Rev. Dr. Dottie Escobedo-Frank will lead the conversation to find new ways to be the church of Jesus Christ in this day and age. Charles Lee is the CEO and Chief Idea-Maker at Ideation, an idea agency that specializes in helping businesses and organizations create and implement remarkable ideas via creative business design, organizational innovation, branding, design, marketing, social media, and divergent problem-solving. He is also the author of Good Idea. Now What?: How to Move Ideas to Execution, a practical book designed to help people move ideas to implementation. In addition, Charles is the creator of grassroots efforts including Ideation Conference, the Idea Camp, and the Freeze Project as well as the co-founder of JustOne. He regularly speaks on topics such as creativity, innovation, idea-making, branding, collaboration, new media, and social entrepreneurism.
Ministry session leader Rev. Dr. Dottie Escobedo-Frank is a pastor at CrossRoads UMC. She is on the leading edge of church vitalization and transformation. Dottie has served in progressive roles and responsibilities including feeding the homeless, founding a church Farmer's Market, working with immigrant populations, and gathering a community rich in diversity. Worship, preaching, justice, mercy and creating space for revolutionary change define Dottie's work and passion.
Rev. Rudy Rasmus is a pastor and author with a passion for outreach to the world's poorest citizens. Pastor Rudy co-pastors the St. John's United Methodist Church located in Downtown Houston with his wife Juanita that began with nine existing members in 1992. St. John's has grown to over 9,000 members in 21 years.
