Teens Exercise Leadership Skills at Texas Youth Academy

7/11/2013

Several dozen teens devoted two weeks of their summer to explore the subject of spirituality in artistic and worshipful ways. Read about their experiences firsthand on this blog.

A typical day for high school sophomores and juniors with a desire to explore their faith and future at the Texas Youth Academy begins with prayer time and breakfast and includes a variety of activities designed to develop principled Christian leaders for the church and the world. This year, selected students attended this annual event from June 24-July 6 at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Tx.

Their mornings featured a session led by seminary faculty on a major theme of the Christian faith, several hands-on opportunities ranging from artistic endeavors to mission work, and then student-led worship and time spent in small groups facilitated by mentors.
