PIM Mission Forum September 29

Come and enjoy a Saturday of missions at First UMC, Conroe on Sept. 29th from 8:30am-2:45pm.

 

The Texas Conference Mission Forum Committee invites you to experience and enjoy an exciting event. This one day is filled with opportunities to:

 

·         Gather mission information through workshops, speakers, worship, and the Global Village.

 

·         Visit personally with missionaries who are serving in the U.S., Mexico, Belize and previously Kenya.

 

·         Get first hand information about current PIM mission opportunities, local and global, from Project Coordinators in the Global Village; an hour will be scheduled in the Village for each participant.

 

·         Shop at the extensive Mission Store featuring items from Haiti, Kenya, Bolivia, Mexico, etc.

 

·         Lunch with the missionaries is included.

 

Workshops Include:

Methodist Alphabet Soup - Understand the connections of the mission process from

the local church to the General Board

 

Opportunities at the Texas Border – Share the journey with our border friends

 

Justice for Our Neighbor - Learn the issues affecting our neighbors

 

How to be More Like Jesus in Mission - What did Jesus say regarding our mission responsibilities?

 

International Opportunities – Learn details about overseas missions and how to be involved

 

Mission Starter Kit - The Ins and Outs/Dollars and cents of getting started

 

Domestic Opportunities - Learn about the U.S. projects associated with PIM

 

Family/Youth in Mission - Learn how to create a family/youth mission and places in the U.S. that are family friendly.

 

Global Village - Visit with the Project Coordinators as you look

at their exhibits
