Lon Morris College Preparing for Fall 2012 Semester
On August 29, 2012, Lon Morris College will commence Fall classes and a revitalized academic program that positions the school on a path towards its future. LMC will offer a complete core curriculum for the Fall 2012 semester with on-campus and on-line classes. With one on-line summer session completed and the second session now in progress, a team of Lon Morris educators are currently working with the admissions and financial aid staff to assist students with enrollment, and facilitate additional recruiting efforts, for the upcoming Fall semester.
"We have a strong group of leaders who are committed to the students, and potential students, as well as to the success of Lon Morris,” said David Hubbard, Dean of Students. “They know the community and most importantly, they have relationships with our students and their families, and can provide the insight and assistance families need to help them in the decision making process."
According to Dawn Ragan of Bridgepoint Consulting, the Chief Restructuring Officer, Lon Morris College has reduced tuition 33%, while still offering financial aid and funded scholarships for certain programs. The reduction is in lieu of widely offered discounts and unfunded scholarships of prior years.
"LMC is a survivor,” stated Hubbard. “Now, we are ready for the future. The students enrolling for the fall semester will be setting the stage. We have been educating young men and women for over 150 years and will continue to do so. It's only going to get better from here.”
