Christ in Primitive Christianity – November 11

Deeper Lecture Series, “Christ in Primitive Christianity” featuring Dr. Ted Campbell, professor at Perkins Seminary at SMU, specializing in the history of Christian doctrine and theology. This event will be held Friday, November 11 from 7-9 p.m. at The Woodlands UMC.

This session will seek to understand how the early Christian Church came to understand and define who Jesus is (and isn't) and what his life and death accomplished. The technical term is “Christology,”  and there is no more important subject for Christians to understand and to understand in depth.  The session will also consider how understandings of Jesus Christ led to the development of the church's practice of devotion to the divine Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
