Kathie Mann Retiring
On June 1, 1999 Kathie Mann began an exciting and eventful ministry career with The Texas Annual Conference. Rev. Elijah Stansell says, “On behalf of the conference, I am expressing our deep appreciation for every contribution she has made in ministry. Kathie retire from the conference staff, but her ministry will continue with The General Board of Global Ministries developing new mission programs and hosting UMVIM teams in Kenya.”
Anyone wishing to share their appreciation and thanks for her contributions over the years can wish her well at a reception at the conference office Monday, August 31 at 1:30, or send accolades and best wishes to:

The General Board of Global Ministries has announced that Kathie will be assigned as the new Mission Volunteer for Maua Methodist Hospital!
Kathie has volunteered much time and energy to coordinate teams to MMH, and has consistently showed a passion and understanding of the uniqueness of Maua Methodist Hospital and its ministries. She has also written and updated a comprehensive manual for leading and participating in mission trips based on her skills and knowledge of Kenya and East Africa.
Her passion has translated into impactful action such as getting the people and the funds needed to build homes for hundreds of orphaned children and their elderly guardians, or organizing thousands of children through the hospital’s deworming program. Kathie is making preparations to be in Maua in October, to make sure all is safe, secure and in readiness for teams to come and do the good work needed in that far off corner of the world.
