Third Sunday Native American Worship, Fellowship, & Potluck - Anna Edwards
Please come on May 18 to hear Anna Edwards (Ohkay Owingeh) speak about "The Godly Woman". It will be a time to honor our Mothers and to think about what they taught us and to be introspective about woman today and to integrate what we have been taught and what we want to be. Come and tell us a special something that your Mother taught you.
Anna has been instrumental in advancing the concerns of the Houston Native American Community for over 30 years. She has a wealth of information and is always willing to answer questions. Come and enjoy learning from her.
We have another event this month. At the Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, we will host a breakfast on May 26 at 7 am (ooh, early!). We will have Sayani (ooh, amazing!) singing and ministering to us. Sayani are NAMA award winning singers who's voices blend and soar. Their time in Hawaii and their Cherokee and Creek heritage blend in a beautiful symphony of sounds. You will be energized, uplifted and impassioned.

The event is at the Hilton Americas-Houston, 1600 Lamar 77010; adjoining the George R Brown Convention Center.
