Flood Buckets Needed

Flooding in several locations has caused an URGENT need for flood buckets. When you have completed your flood buckets please contact either Clay Whitaker, 281-917-6309, or the PIM office 713-521-9383 ext 316.  

Flood Buckets should be taken to Old River Terrace UMC at 16102 I-10 E, Channelview.

Indiana Area of the United Methodist Church

If you wish to volunteer for flood relief, contact Jenni Walker, South Indiana Conference Resource Administrator at jenniwalker@mac.com or call 812-893-1760.

Contributions for flood relief for both the South and North Indiana Conferences will now be gratefully received.

South Indiana Conference: make contributions payable to the South Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church with a memo “Flood Relief Indiana” and send to:

Columbus Church Continues to Host Work Teams

We now need work teams for both the Columbus and Franklin areas. Asbury UMC in Columbus has offered to house and feed the volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jenni Walker (jenniwalker@mac.com OR call 812-893-1760). 

Minnesota – Winona County Flood Response

Volunteers are still needed to work on homes damaged by last year's flooding in Winona County.  Skilled leaders to lead teams of five people (a ratio of one skilled
person per five unskilled volunteers is required) will work on sheet hanging, carpentry, finish carpentry, taping and mudding, and painting.

A coordinator will guide teams to a job. The groups are needed immediately and through July and possibly later. Adult groups are preferred but older youth with skilled leaders are welcome.
