New Vital Signs Application

An application is available to be downloaded to any Windows PC and can be run to view Vital Signs entries made in Dove for any church in the Conference. The data is a snapshot of year to date entries made up to August 16, 2009.

It can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.txcumc.org/vsentry.

Save it into a folder on your local PC. It is a compressed (.zip) file.

You will need to "Extract" the files to uncompress them.

In the extracted files you will find a "Setup.exe" file which will initiate the install.

During the install, accept all the default settings and also answer "Yes" when it asks if it can update your "autoexec.bat" and "config.sys" files.

IMPORTANT: At the end of the setup, you should see a screen that has a generic icon titled "Vital Signs". Be sure to right click on that icon and pick "Send To" --> "Desktop (create a shortcut)" so the icon will appear on your desktop.

When you start the program, always click the box in the upper right corner of the screen to "Maximize" the application to full screen.

Click on the button to view Vital Signs entries for all of 2009.

It is for the entire conference so you can select any district and any church within that district and view all 3 categories of Vital signs on the screen at the same time.  Once you have clicked on a Church to select it, the keyboard "Page Up" and "Page Down" keys will move up and down easily in the Church List.

It is important to note that this year, for year end reporting on report day, the report will draw it's data from these Vital Signs entries. That means that all Vital Signs entries MUST be completed or it will be impossible to finish the Report Day report.

Contact Ivan Krowl with questions at ivan@reportday.com or enter a trouble ticket though our system at www.txcumchelp.org.
