May 27-June 6, 2016. Peachtree Road UMC in Atlanta, GA has been sending teams to Georgia for 17 years, and a few spots remain for their upcoming trip. You will have the opportunity to interact with children of all ages who live in the impoverished rural areas of this country rich in Christian values and ancient history. While there are no heavy construction projects, you will have several opportunities to join the students in a community service project. One very special day will be spent interacting with children at a school with learning disabilities. Approximate cost without airfare is $500 which includes lodging, meals and transportation. The isolation of this area requires extended travel in areas where beaches and jungle rivers are the only roads. Medical and non-medical personnel are requested.
