Brant,
Praise the Lord we finally have somebody who is supportive enough of the United Methodist Men to write a good report. Thank you for your article, your comments, and the pictures. This really made it exciting! Hope to see you at Annual Conference and the Board Meeting.
May God Bless You,

Brant,
Thanks for the great article! We can only hope that your article will inspire others to come to Lakeview next April. They can find details for the retreat and other UMM ministries at our website. Thanks again for your positive article.

Brant,
Thanks for the great article on the UMM Spring Retreat. I have been going to the retreat for the past 8 years. A good friend of mine (and to UMM), Fred Kimmey took me to my first retreat and I felt the same spiritual renewal that was felt by many that attended the retreat for their first time this year. This past retreat was a blessing to all of those who attended. We enjoyed beautiful weather, good food, great messages from Pastor Matt, great music from Reggie & Greg and David's Song, and great fellowship with a group of men seeking to be closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. I hope your story and pictures will inspire others to join us next April at Lakeview. For those who haven't visited or know of Lakeview this will sum it up. A little girl came back from church camp at Lakeview and was telling her grandfather about the fun she had while there. The grandfather asked her "What is this Lakeview you keep talking about?", the little girl put out with her grandfather said "Oh Grandpa, Lakeview is where God lives!" Enough said.
Thanks again,
May God Continue His Blessings Upon You,

Thank you, Bishop Huie, for pushing the General Conference and the Texas Conference of hope itself through the wonderful Good News of Jesus Christ. We need a voice of hope in a world of "no."
Pre-Register If You Need Child Care During Annual Conference

My son enjoyed this child care so much last year, he can't wait to come back and see his friends! The WOW Science Camp and bowling and game days are great ideas to keep the kids occupied. And if your kids haven't been there before, there are video game systems and a cafe area, with a movie screen, and bean bags for lounging. Your kids are sure to feel comfortable. The adults running the child care seemed like good role models.

You all did a very poor job of getting the word out about this event. It should have advertised, on church web pages, and fliers sent to churches.
Early Responder Team Training

Clay, I think we needed to have this information distributed a bit earlier, in order get the word out & people registered before your cut-off date (date you determined to cancel the event). For the North District website, I generally need the information by the Wed. a week prior to the event... that would've been March 26th. The first I saw of it was in the Conf. email on March 27th, and then it only really jumped out at me because it was to be at St. Andrew on April 5th. ;) I realize the district websites are not your only method of communication, but I thought I'd send you this feedback anyway.
Thanks for listening, and I wish you better luck with the later-scheduled training events!

I'm glad to have this information and I must say that I enjoy reading more about our conference activities than other items from the UMC website. Thanks for this article and others like it.
