The Emerging Leaders Endowment serves to create and sustain programming that ensures the United Methodist witness to the Gospel will remain vital and dynamic.

Philosophy
The Emerging Leaders Endowment supports the theology and practice of the United Methodist Movement while developing a new generation of leaders.

Goals

  • To identify and recruit young, gifted, diverse people for ordained ministry within the Texas Annual Conference
  • To develop and nurture their ability to serve as transformational leaders
  • To equip them with practices and tools to sustain them over a lifetime of ministry

Texas Youth Academy

The Texas Youth Academy is a unique community for current 10-12th grade students to illuminate deeper discipleship.

Program (CPIP)

The College Pastoral Internship Project 2.0 (CPIP 2.0) is designed to encourage a diverse group of gifted young candidates to enter pastoral service in the Texas Annual Conference.

Ambassadors' Grant

The Ambassadors’ Grant was created to encourage young people to consider ministry by reimbursing out of pocket seminary tuition, fees, and book costs incurred by promising young clergy entering the Texas Annual Conference.

Advancing Pastoral Leadership

Created out of a deep concern for the mission of the church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, the goal of the program is to assist emerging clergy leaders in developing their capacity for fruitful leadership.
