2007 Texas Annual Conference Clergy Gathering

The Gathering will take place September 26 and 27 from noon to noon.

Schedule                         Registration Form

The Gathering is an opportunity for the Elders, Deacons, Associate Members and Local Pastors of the Texas Annual Conference to come together for renewal, relaxation and conversation.  Closer relationships between and among clergy members of our conference is one of the chief ways that the unique “connection” of our church is fostered and maintained.

Our schedule is compact this year, twenty-four hours from noon Wednesday to noon on Thursday, but we trust you will have ample time to visit and connect, refresh and renew.

Passionate Worship with Dr. Marcia McFee

“Creating Worship with Deep Soul”

We’ve chosen our conference theme, “Passionate Worship” for emphasis and invited one of the most exciting people in the field.  Marcia McFee designs and leads worship for local, regional and national gatherings across the country.

Consistently, participants (from “traditionalists” to “Gen-Xers) report that they have been moved by the weaving together of all of the worship components into a spirit-filled encounter with God.

Marcia is committed to teaching the nuts and bolts of worship in an interactive, inspiring and fun way that enables you to go home and be your own worship consultant.

Many of us in this conference have had the Marcia experience, in workshop last fall and at annual conference just weeks ago.  We are excited and eager to be with her again.

Special Guest - Kenn Kington

Brought to you by your conference Evangelism group, Kenn Kington is a Christian comedian and founder of “Invite 100 ” an exciting and uplifting new approach to inviting people to Christ.  He will be in workshop in the afternoon and in performance in the evening.

A Time with the Bishop - Bishop Janice Riggle Huie

Introductions?  We don’t think so!  You know our bishop and how she is working among us to make us a little better than we thought we could be.  She will share in her usual “Time with the Bishop” slot on Wednesday evening and then celebrate communion on Thursday.

Cokesbury

Of course, Cokesbury Bookstore will have its great display of materials and books.
