Back to Church Sunday, September 12: UM congregations are among more than 1,500 churches across the U.S. committed to send invitations and hold special services to welcome back people who once attended church, but have not recently. Outreach Inc., a California-based church marketing company that supports the initiative, found last years participating churches increased weekend attendance on average by 19 percent.
