Spotted Owl Gathering at Texas Annual Conference
Join us Monday evening, May 31 at about 8:30 PM (after evening worship) in the Atrium at The Loft at The Woodlands UMC. All clergy candidates, seminary students, interns, and interested persons age 35 and under are invited to join us for coffee. Reservations required only if you need nursery. For nursery care during this event, send names and ages of children to Barbara Eoff at beoff@txcumc.org by May 13. Your children must already be registered with the TWUMC nursery for regular Conference events in order to use the after hours nursery.
2010 Candidacy Summit
What is a Candidacy Summit? The Candidacy Summit is a multi-day event during which everyone entering candidacy in the Texas Annual Conference receives accurate information about the entire candidacy process; begins meeting together in small groups with trained Mentors; and has opportunities to worship, share their call stories, meet District Superintendents and other supporters, and take required psychological tests. Applications for the July 29-31, 2010 Candidacy Summit will be accepted through June 1, 2010. The application must be signed by the candidates District Superintendent and accompanied by a $100 check or money order to help cover the cost of the psychological testing.
