Rev. John Nihart, 86, (Retired Local Pastor) died Saturday, February 20, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. His life was celebrated Wednesday, February 24 at Greggton UMC, Longview.

Rev. Dave Avis (Douglassville and Union Chapel UMCs) will have quadruple bypass surgery Wednesday, March 3 at Good Shepherd Hospital, Longview.

Lynn Bristow, son of Rev. Durwood Bristow (Retired), will have triple bypass surgery in a Tyler hospital this week.
